BATTLES FOR THE FINALE ARE ON THE PLATE

Tomorrow, at 16:00 and 18:00, the semi-finals of the EHF M18 European Championship will take place in the “Rimi Olympic Center”. The national teams of North Macedonia and Luxembourg are going to play first semi-finale game, afterwargds Switzerland and Latvian national teams will play against each other. The first match of the day at 14:00 between the teams of Belgium and Turkey, who continue the fight for 5th-7th. place.

The road to the semi-finals

From the four teams of subgroup A, the national teams of North Macedonia and Latvia will play in the semi-finals. The first team finished the group stage without losses, beating the teams of Türkiye and Kosovo – 34:19 and 39:16, as well as the national team of Latvia – 33:23. The Latvian national team lost against North Macedonia, but won the first and second championship matches – 37:17 against Kosovo and 33:32 against Türkiye.

In subgroup B, both Luxembourg and Switzerland managed to beat Belgian handball players. For Switzerland, it succeeded with the result 39:18, and for Luxembourg 35:26. In the final group game, Switzerland beat Luxembourg 28-26 to become Group B winners.

In the semi-finals, North Macedonia will play against Luxembourg, Switzerland will be the opponents of the Latvian national team.

The teams of Belgium, Türkiye and Kosovo continue the fight for the 5th-7th place. Türkiye will play against Belgium on Saturday, and Kosovo on Sunday. The match between Kosovo and Türkiye is “taken” from the subgroup tournament, in which the Turks were superior with a score of 29:23.
